Synthesised hyaluronic acid is used in aesthetic medicine, among other things, for injecting wrinkles, as a so-called filler. For this purpose, the hyaluronic acid is injected deep or superficially into the skin to plump up the tissue from the inside.
This method is very successful
in the lower half of the face: for injecting into the lips, treatment of the nose-lip wrinkle or mouth-corner-chin wrinkle
for building up facial contours (e.g. cheeks or jawline)
for the correction of irregularities of the skin surface (e.g. sunken scars)
The effect can be seen immediately after the treatment and lasts from several weeks to several months, depending on the filler.
