Originally coming from the residential construction sector, I fell in love with the very land on which the Panorama Royal stands today. Geomancers identified this property as a measurable place of energy and power. While residential development was not permitted, the construction of a hotel was approved. And so, I became a lateral entrant – a “late-blooming hotelier.”
I commissioned a concept of what a hotel on this extraordinary site could look like and set it as the screensaver on my computer. With this vision before my eyes each day, my dream gradually took shape until, in June 2003, I followed my inner voice and opened a small hotel – the Panorama Royal.
With a clear vision, deep commitment, and heartfelt dedication, step by step a wellness and indulgence retreat emerged, which today ranks among Europe’s finest and has been awarded 5 stars. Not many believed in this long-term success at the beginning, and so it was only a small circle of loyal companions who stood by my side, overcoming countless challenges and helping to clear many obstacles along the way. With every difficulty mastered, the hotel continued to grow – and moving forward always felt profoundly right.
It became clear to me that a truly exceptional hotel needs distinctive qualities and a guiding philosophy that both guests and team members can connect with. Among our natural unique features are the breathtaking location and the powerful energy spots upon which the hotel is built. These are complemented by our holistic concept, “Our Way of Healing,” founded on values such as drawing energy and vitality, cultivating serenity and balance, radiating joy of life, living with mindfulness, experiencing deep regeneration, and embracing sustainability.
Eastern wisdom has also had a profound influence on this philosophy—knowledge I had the privilege to study and experience among the monks of the Shaolin Temple. It felt only natural to unite this ancient wisdom with Western practices, creating harmony between body, mind, and soul.
As a former construction entrepreneur, it has always been important to me to continuously advance the architectural and aesthetic development of the hotel. I am convinced that refined design and high-quality surroundings are essential in creating an inspiring atmosphere—one that resonates equally with guests and employees.
Equally important is the ongoing education and development of our team, who play a vital role as co-hosts. Each individual embodies our philosophy, which is reflected in the genuine and heartfelt way we welcome and care for our guests.
From the very beginning, every step we have taken has been guided by our core principle: “A source of energy, strength, and joy of life.” Our greatest motivation is that every guest not only experiences this philosophy—but truly feels it, and returns home from the Panorama Royal renewed, empowered, and full of life’s energy.
